SHALL WE OPPOSE THE GOD OF ISRAEL?

What shall we say then? If God be for Israel shall we oppose Him? In view of the Almighty's great love and unbounded mercies, renewed every morning, surely those who call themselves Christians, professing to be followers of the Jewish Rabbi called Jesus, should at the very least stand with and pray for the Jewish people.

This may be an anguished prayer at times, as it was for the Apostle Paul. But our concerns, like his, should spring from an abiding affection and unconditional affirmation of Israel's irrevocable covenant, involving Scriptures, Land and People.

This is not to idealize the Jewish people or exempt the State of Israel from biblical standards of justice and righteousness. Nor is it to condemn Israel -- the messenger -- for forgetting the message. But it is to remind us as followers of Yahshua HaMashiach -- Jesus the Messiah -- that we are indebted to Israel for our (Jewish) Messiah, our (Jewish) Scriptures, and our God, the God of Israel!

Think about it.

WITH GOD ON THEIR SIDE

In the late 1930's, less than seventy years ago, Hitler and his murderous followers were sending Jews to their death, like sheep to the slaughter. At that time, Israel and the Jewish people, scattered around the nations, had no state of their own to escape to.

The Israeli Defence Force didn't exist.

No sooner had the tiny Jewish state been born, seven Arab countries declared all-out war on her and attacked her viciously, with the express intent of wiping out this new and undeveloped state.

There they were, just a few thousand Jews up gainst the military might of her Arab neighbours and their professional war machines. The Israeli's had little in the way of organized military might. But what they did have, and which the opposition did not have, was God on their side.

Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Libya, and Saudi Arabia attacked all at once. It should have been a wipe-out; a complete annihilation of the fledgeling state. But it wasn't. They were tough people with nothing to lose, nowhere to go, in the will of Almighty God.

The territory that the UN "gave them" was a tract of land unwanted by any of the Arabs in the region: it was barren and repeated attempts to make it fruitful had all failed. 65-70 per cent of the land was wasteland, "incapable of producing anything worthwhile", according to the Arabs who knew the region.

The tiny Jewish state had to start from scratch, with no infrastructure whatsoever. But from that scrubland, swampland and desert, a garden blossomed. Fresh fruit and flowers grew in abundance in the one-time desert and swampland. The Jewish people (hand-in-hand with the God of Israel) made the desert flourish and so enabled them to sell fresh fruit and vegetables and flowers to the world.

Forty years ago they had to fight three of the strongest, best-equipped armies in the Middle East, and in SIX days, God gave them victory over their enemies, once again, against overwhelming odds.

Throughout the years the Jewish people have fought against different coalitions of Arab countries with modern armies and air forces, well-equipped with masses of Soviet Russian weaponry. And still they had the victory!

Today, the tiny state of Israel has an army, a strong Air Force, a Hi-Tech Economy, and an export trade worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Intel, Microsoft, IBM, all develop much of their product lines there. In fact, the Israeli division of Microsoft recently won an award for being the most innovative and productive division in the company.

Their doctors win world prizes for medical developments.

Israel has sent its own satellites into outer Space: three to date. The Israeli population (7.1 million) sit proudly alongside other space-age nations: the US, with its 301 million people; Russia, with it's 144 million people; China, with over 1310 million people; Europe -- France, England, Germany and the other 24 member countries -- with their combined population of over 490 million people.

Israel today is a nuclear power alongside the US, Russia, China, India, Pakistan, France, and Britain. [They don't admit it, but every one knows...]

To think that only 60 to 70 years ago, they were living with no hope whatsoever, herded into the deathcamps of Europe, screaming as they inhaled the poisonous gasses pouring into the killing chambers. The human slaughter that went on around the clock, day in, day out, including Sundays.

It is well documented that as this killing was going on, at the entrance to at least one such camp, the murderous nazis, their wives and children, gathered for Sunday services, mornings and evenings, in their Lutheran church, praising the Lord and singing "Jesus, we adore thee', while the screams of dying Jews, crying out to be rescued, were just a short distance away. And even though the smell of buring flesh was all around, these nazis and their families were totally unconcerned; they thought they were doing God's work for Him.

Some of the European Jewry managed to get away from the persecution of Hitler and his supporting nations and proceeded to establish, against all odds, a state of their own, somewhere they could call home on what was left of the Land God had covenented to them many years earlier.

Over the years, they fought and won battles large and small, with little or no organized military forces, against their enemies. But what they did have throughout this time was the hand of the Lord God of Israel upon their nation, who helped them establish and build a homeland out of nothing.

Passover was faithfully celebrated, so they didn't forget where they had come from and what they were all about. They (with God's help) overcame the clutches of Pharaoh, the Greeks, the Romans, the Inquisition in Spain, the Crusades and the Pogroms in Russia. Hitler and the German war machine (and a few supportive countries) tried to annihilate them in what is known as the Holocaust, but a remnant survived. They (and God) overcame the armies of the seven Arab countries who tried to annihilate them. Even Saddam Hussein tried his hand against them. But God gave them victory over their enemies in what were overwhelming odds against them.

The Jewish people are overcomers and if they will once again call on their God, they will overcome their present enemies, too. Let them remember that those nations or cultures who tried in the past to get rid of the Israeli people and take the Land were themselves destroyed.

Israel, please remember that as long as you walk with the God of Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya'akov, the God of Isra'el, you can call on Him, at any time; He's waiting with arms open wide. He won't let you down.

God's Chosen people, the nation we read about in the Bible, rescued from slavery in Egypt, are but a small number of people inhabiting what is probably the smallest country in the world. But hardly a day goes by without Israel being on the international news. They are still there, speaking the same language, worshipping the same God (although not so many of them do so these days). The Arabs don't know it yet, but they too WILL learn that there is but one God, One true God, the living God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of Israel!

As long as the Jewish people keep their eyes on Him, they will keep their identity and they will overcome every adversary.

Please don't fall for the media junk. They constantly tell you how bad life is in Israel, how evil the Jewish people are. They don't tell you that there is still much going on in Israel, that people are living their lives, going out, seeing friends, enjoying being with others, enjoying themselves, and so on. They won't tell you about how the Israeli hospitals are treating those who are trying to kill them, on a daily basis. They won't tell you about the inhuman carnage brought about by the Arab bombers. They won't tell you about how the "Palestinian" children are taught to hate Jewish people and motivated to kill them.

The media loves to paint an ugly picture of Israel and the People of the Land, none moreso than the Europeans and in particular, the British media. They love to portray the Jewish people as 'the aggressors' and 'the occupiers' of the Land. The media's ignorance is astonishing; their anti-semitic, anti-Jewish, anti-Israeli stance is confirmed through their lies, deception and sheer arrogance.

Yes, the Israeli morale is not what it should be, but wouldn't yours be down a little if you had to endure daily attempts to kill you along with regular threats to wipe you off the face of the earth, knowing that no one outside your own country was taking the threats seriously. . .and in some cases, condoning the threats by not speaking out against those making the threats?

The Jewish people weep for their dead, murdered unnecassarily by their brainwashed cousins who believe that they are called to do such dastardly things, and encouraged to do so by family and relatives. They actually belive the lies that there is such an entity as the "Palestinian people" with a right to a land of make-believe called "Palestine". That is so sad.

Wake up you who are killing Jewish people; don't you realize that the term "Palestinian people" was invented by that murdering terrorist, Yasser Arafat? The Land belongs to the Jewish People; the Land of Israel was covenanted to them, by YHVH, several thousand years ago, and confirmed throughout scripture, long before the koran was ever thought of.

The so-called "Palestinian" youth are taught, from an early age, to murder Jewish people and that if they do it by blowing themselves up in the process, they will be rewarded in heaven with the services of sevent-two virgins attending to their every need. How can anyone in their right mind swallow such lies let alone die for them. What a waste of life: cousin killing cousin; and the saddest part of all is that they don't realize it.

Those who persecute and kill God's Chosen people, will one day have to answer to Him for doing so. At that point in time, it will be too late to say, sorry, and the consequences will be unimaginable. It would be far better to stop now, repent, seek God's forgiveness and befriend the Jewish people. The God of Israel will not allow His people to be wiped out; those who try will be destroyed.

Bear this in mind also: most of the Jewish people need to repent of their falling away. They need to call on God, NOW, at this very moment in time, and get right with God.

The Jewish people will see: God IS on their side.

The Church and The Governments of The Nations Are Sleeping. . .

The Church and The Governments of The Nations Are Sleeping, So It Is Up To Us To Make a Stand . . . and Make Our Voices Heard!

For those people we know who do not understand the relevance of praying and interceding for the Land and People of Israel, for those who attach no importance to the part the Jewish people and the Land of Israel play in God's end-times plan and purposes, please show them this video: The Terrorism Awareness Project; it might just change their minds and give them a greater understanding and sense of urgency to pray for Israel.

"The Church", especially those in leadership, ought to see this video, along with the video called 'Stand Up To Ahmadinejad.'

It is time for Christians everywhere to get off their butts, break out of their 'holy huddles' and start speaking out -- at every possible occasion -- and writing letters to those in positions of power and influence in the government and in the churches.

As you can see from the videos, this is history repeating itself. Last time, in the nineteen-thirties, the Church was silent and the political leaders lacked the courage to make a stand until it was too late. Are your Christians friends going to do the same again. . . are you going to allow your political leaders to do the same again. . . The time to act is NOW.

Our government in the UK is but a poodle: easily led with a bark far worse than its bite. There are no Godly men and women in political leadership in this nation (that we know of), just an occasional pew warmers and an odd Sunday Christian, maybe two, if we're lucky, on special occasions. But there isn't a man of God like a David or a Joshua; there is no one willing to do things God's way and make a stand for Israel. There is no one in the cabinet who understands the ramifications of Genesis 12:3.

In fact I don't know of anyone in political or church leadership who is standing up to the madman, Ahmadinejad, and his hitleresque speeches, threats and incitements. Bush makes a few noises now and then but he has no real understanding of Israel and God's end-times plans and purposes. If he had, he wouldn't be sending Rice to do the things she is doing in the middle-east. (This woman, the daughter of a baptist pastor, brought up in a Godly household should understand, better than most in the US administration, the meaning of Joel 3:2.)

If the political leaders of the nations believe that Israel can be used as the sacrificial lamb on the alter of political expediency,and get away with it, they are not only mistaken, they are inept, foolish and ill-advised. If church leaders within the nations think they can stay silent and get away with it, they too are extremely misguided

It's time to make a stand. It's time for each one of us to make a difference; speaking out whenever and wherever possible, writing, petitioning, demonstrating our Judeo-Christian teachings and beliefs. Little by little, bit by bit, we can do it; we can make a difference. It's up to us: do we make a stand or pay the consequences?

Let's make a stand now . . . let us make our voices heard.

It's up to each of us to pray and intercede like never before.

The Jewish people need their Messiah, Yeshua, like never before.

The Time to Pray for the Shalom of Jerusalem is NOW!

We need to pray for Israel, Jerusalem and the Jewish people like never before.

The Jewish people need their Messiah, Yahshua, like never before.

As the madman of Iran stirs up more and more anti-Jewish hatred with his weekly calls to wipe Israel off the map, who is listening? It's like the late 1930's all over again when Hitler was making similar noises and no one in authority seemed to be taking him seriously.

The politicians of the leading nations of the world now, as then, seem not to be placing too much credence on the madman's vitriol.

The Church of God, now, as then, (with very few exceptions) seem not to be taking the madman of Iran too seriously.

They were wrong then and they're wrong now!

The political leaders and the Church leaders of today need to wake up and realize that the madman of Iraq is serious about his intentions to annihilate Israel . . .and he will probably try --sooner rather than later -- as the rest of the world looks on in amazement.

Is Israel the only nation on earth who realizes President Ahmadinejad and his paymasters, the mad mullahs of Iran, are deadly serious?

Not quite. America knows Iran is serious but are willing to sacrifice Israel on the alter of political expediency. Likewise, the UK. At this point in time they want to curry favor with the Arab/Muslim nations to help them in Iraq and to keep the oil supplies flowing to the US and the UK. They want an easy exit strategy from their war for political and financial reasons and they don't give a dam who gets led out to slaughter to achieve their selfish, self-centered aims.

I repeat: The Jewish people need their Messiah, Yahshua, like never before.

As opposition to their right to live on the Land God gave them increases, He is the only One who can help them. But He needs to hear them cry out to Him -- "Baruch Haba B'shem ADONAI -- Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the LORD" -- before He comes back.

ADONAI tells us that Israel will be saved.

Praise God.

Seek the LORD and pray that His will be done for His chosen people.

Father God, we come in the precious name of Yahshua HaMashiach -- Jesus the Messiah -- to pray for the peace of Jerusalem; for the tranquility, safety, well-being, welfare, health, contentment, success, comfort, wholeness and integrity of Jerusalem, in line with Your Word (Psalm 122).

We pray for the sovereignty of Israel, that it rests solely with Your people, never shared, divided, compromised or surrendered. We pray that Your will be done, here on earth as it is in heaven, for Israel, the people and the Land.

We pray that Your people who are called by Your name would humble themselves and pray, and seek you face, and turn from their wicked ways, so that You would hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their Land. And give them victory over their enemies who are trying to annihilate them.

We pray for the innocent civilians of Lebanon, especially the Christian believers, who are tirelessly working, around the clock, in very difficult conditions, to help those who have fled their homes. We pray for their protection, strength and well-being.

We pray that the love of Yahshua HaMashiach, shining through the Lebanese Believers as they embrace, feed and shelter the displaced Arab people, will bring the Arab Muslims to know the Lord Yahshua. We pray that the Arab people would realize that Islam is a demonic spirit that breeds hatred and violence and that by renouncing it, repenting and accepting Yahshua as Lord and Saviour, they will be set free from the chains that bind them and enter into a new life.

We pray for the Israeli government, especially Ehud Olmert, the war cabinet, and the military leaders, that God will strengthen them with the necessary resolve to prosecute this conflict to the end, until at the the very least, Hezbollah and their puppet leader Nassan Hasrallah have been obliterated.

There seems to be a weakening in the resolve of the Israeli leaders; a fear of international pressure seems to be growing in the Israeli administration, so we pray against this spirit of fear and weakness in any of the Israeli leaders. Father, please strengthen these leaders, shape them like David and Joshua; and let the fighting forces of Israel become the fearsome Lions of Judah.

My LORD, what will it take to drive them back into the arms of the God of Israel. Your people need to wake up NOW and arise to their calling, to cry out to ADONAI, the LORD their GOD, the GOD of Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya'akov, to lead and direct them in this battle.

Perhaps this is a timely reminder for Israel and for each one of us that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"(Eph.6:12).

It is for such a time as this that we have come into Your Kingdom, Lord. Place Your mighty hand upon us to help us be Mordecai's who help the Esther's. . . to be voices calling out into the wilderness of today's Church and the world. Father GOD, let a people arise who cry out for their destiny . . .for the destiny of Israel . . .the people and the Land, and intercede effectively for Your plans and purposes in Israel and the Middle East region.

". . .As for me and my house, I will serve the LORD. I want to be embraced, consumed by You, LORD, for Your plans and purposes in these End Times. For this I dedicate myself to serve You and be used by You, for the benefit of Israel, the people and the Land".

For Zion's Sake, Get Stuck In. . .Prayerfully!

“For the sake of Zion I will not be silent, for the sake of Jerusalem I will not be still, till her victory emerges resplendent and her triumph like a flaming torch” -- Isaiah 62:1

June 1982 saw a defensive operation begin at the Lebanese border where the war is happening now. The purpose: to stop the endless attacks on Israel's northern towns and villages by the Hezbollah terrorists. The Islamic Terror group amassed a large number of destructive weapons just inside Lebanon, courtesy of Iran and Syria, and they were constantly shooting rockets at Israel’s Upper Galilee citizens.

The Israeli Army remained in Lebanon for over 20 years. Then, for some insane reason, Israel decided to pull its troops out of Lebanon, relinquishing that very volatile frontier to the puppet government in Beirut, themselves cowering to the strength and bully tactics of Hezbollah and Syria.

Lebanon is told pretty much what to do by Syria, who in turn is influenced by Iran. Whenever Hezbollah operates against Israel, it is actually an Iranian sponsored attack through Syria. The Lebanese government haven't any say in the matter.

August 2005 saw the Gaza strip ethnically cleansed: all Jews were purged from the Land. The Jewish people were forcibly kicked out of their homes and off their Land. Sold out by their own government. They have been left to fend for themselves ever since as the government reneged on most of its promises.

Many are in a mess; suicide is up, divorce is up, depression and related illnesses have gone through the roof. Kids can't cope in school (those lucky enough to find a place in a school). Unemployment is up. Homelessness is up. The soup kitchens are busier than they've ever been. The charitable organizations providing clothing and basic essentials to Jewish people are busier than they've ever been, almost a year after the event.

The world gave a cursory glance at their TV screens as the Jewish people were being purged from their homes and land and decided, "hey, that's OK, they're only Jews". Had that been in any other country there would have been a outcry so loud -- a veritable cacophany -- from almost every world leader and organization imaginable, starting with the corrupt and morally bankrupt anti-Israel duo, Bill and Ben, the flower pot men (the U.N. and the E.U.). Because of the purging of Jews from Gaza, it has become just as many predicted, a launching pad of Kassam rockets into Sderot, Ashkelon and other places.

Both of the relinquished territories, Lebanon and Gaza, have become a launching pad of terror attacks into Israel leaving many wounded and dead in an endless war of attrition. The people of Israel are once again in bomb shelters and living in fear. Endless meetings and debates, millions of shekels, and too much blood and tears have gone down the drain trying to establish a false peace that will appease the world and keep the Arab Oil Producers happy. This false peace needs halting and reversing NOW before it destroys Israel. The false peacemakers need to wake up and get a grip of reality:-

YOU CANNOT MAKE PEACE WITH ISLAM BECAUSE ISLAM WILL NEVER MAKE PEACE WITH ANYONE THAT IS NOT A MOSLEM!

Islam’s mandate as stated in the Koran is to conquer the world using every means possible in order to have the entire world under the rule of Islam.

IF Islam is defeated in Israel it will be defeated in the entire world. If Islam is not defeated, the world will come under the rule of Islam, and we can see that starting to happen now. That's not too hard to grasp, is it, yet those (non-Muslims) in positions of power and authority fail to understand it. The Muslims understand it!

Please note: If Islam is not defeated the entire Muslim world is literally going to hell; there will be no salvation from the enemies of Israel unless they REPENT of trying to annihilate Israel!
Jeremiah 12:14-17- Thus said the Lord: As for My wicked neighbors who encroach on the heritage that I gave to My people Israel -- I am going to uproot them from their soil, and I will uproot the House of Judah out of the midst of them. Then, after I have uprooted them, I will take them back into favor, and restore them each to his own inheritance and his own land. And if the learn the ways of My people, to swear by My name -- "As the Lord lives" -- just as they once taught My people to swear by Baal, then they shall be built up in the midst of My people. But if they do not give heed, I will tear out that nation, tear it out and destroy it -- declares the Lord.

The liberal-minded politicians, the anti-Israeli media (probably 99% of the media), the majority of the Christian Church, need a sharp jolt to wake them up and to realize what is really happening.

Defeating Islam is necessary for there to be peace in the world. Many Muslims are brainwashed through their hideous teaching to hate Jews and Christians. . . infidels. . . anyone who is not a Muslim. Therefore, defeating those Muslims who are willing to wage war, to die by the bomb and the bullet, is, or should be, a priority for every free-world leader who doesn't want to see their nations succumb to sharia law.

PEACE WITH ISLAM IS A FANTASY IN THE SAME WAY THAT MAKING PEACE WITH SATAN IS A FANTASY!

Pray for Israel to defeat Islam. Once they're defeated you will be safer in your own nation! Pray against the evil spirit of Islam that has most of the world's people bound up in chains.
Pray for the World's leaders (Presidents and Prime Ministers such as Bush, Putin, Blair, Chirac and others -- you can get a list at Wikipedia.org). Pray for them to stop espousing Islam as a religion of love and peace, and to get a better understanding of the fact that if Islam is NOT defeated in Israel today, they will have to deal with it in their own backyard tomorrow.

Does that sound too far fetched for you? It isn't. Islam is already at the door! Our only hope is to support Israel ALL the way to defeating Islam. And remember: It is Iran and Syria who are pushing the buttons, especially Iran. In Syria it is "president" Bashar al-Assad. In Iran it is their mad mullahs and seriously deluded "president", Ahmadinejad (who is under orders from the chief dictator, Ayatollah Khameini).

What is more concerning (and in need of prayer) is the gravity of Iran's threat to Western interests; it seems not to be fully understood in the halls of power in Washington, London, Brussels/Strasbourg or anywhere else . . .except the Muslim capitals.

Iran wants America's crown: it wants to be the most powerful nation on earth, the world's 'policeman', THE Superpower and it will stop at nothing in trying to achieve it! And if attitudes don't change quickly, we will find ourselves in trouble. All the fighting that has been going off in Iraq over recent years has merely "served to divert attention from the far more dangerous Regional Rat (as David Dolan calls him), lurking right next door -- Iran -- and its supplicant surrogates, Syria and Hezbollah".

Pray that the Israeli Prime Minister and his cabinet colleagues fully understand this and act accordingly; that they will not buckle to international pressue by starting to seek a diplomatic solution. This would play right into the hands of Hezbollah and Hamas.

Please dedicate time to praying and fasting this week, especially for the issues mentioned here. Would you pray Psalm 83 and Psalm 94 over the nation of Israel, and Psalm 94 vv 8-11 against Hezbollah and the leaders of Syria and Iran.

Very important: pray for the awakening of the Church to the truth, and to prayer for Israel (God commands it in Psalm 122:6). Almost ALL the Church is sleeping in the midst of the current crisis. They are not aware of the signs of the times; they seem clueless as to what is really going on. Which is not surprising as there is virtually no teaching on Israel and how Israel fits in to God's end times plans and purposes. None of the local churches we have visited over the past two weeks made any attempt whatsoever to pray into the current middle-east situation, let alone Israel. It's as if they think God has finished with Israel.

We need to be more vocal, to tell it like it is, taking every oportunity to pray out loud for Israel and God's plans and purposes in these end times.

I invite you to pray for the defeat of Islam by Israel, every place it touches Israel. The media is mostly against Israel, as usual, and the Christian community seems to have fallen for their outright lies, half-truths and innuendoes. Instead of going to the Word of God, they seem to prefer to watch what the rolling news editors (with their warped and twisted worldly sense of what is right and wrong) want them to see.

Pray that the Lord will open the eyes of sleeping Christians and give them a revelation concerning Israel. Listen, our personal feelings towards the Jewish people are not important and should not cloud our thinking. Like it or not, the Jewish people are GOD's CHOSEN PEOPLE! As you persevere in prayer for Israel, the Lord will give you a love for His Chosen People. The deeper you go in the Word, the more you look at the history of His people, especially the last 150 years, and church history over the last 1000 years, the more you will understand their plight, the current situation on the ground over there, and the state of the Church over here.
Pray for the protection of Israel, its civilians and its soldiers, and that they would cry out to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob like never before. Pray they would get a revelation of Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah, especially the front-line military personel.

Psalm 83 is a Prayer in Season

1. Pray for God to deflect Hezbollah missiles away from their targets. This happened in the 1991 Gulf War and it can happen again as we pray.
2. Pray for the safety of all Israelis targeted by Hezbollah rockets and missiles.
3. Pray for a revelation of Yeshua as Messiah and atonement to many in Israel right now.
4. Pray for the protection of the many south Lebanese who are rapidly becoming refugees.
5. Pray for those Hezbollah people fighting against Israel to either be saved or to be totally crushed.
6. Pray protection for Israeli soldiers fighting, and especially for those Messianic believers presently involved in the war.
7. Pray for God to reveal and counter Syrian and Iranian strategies to IDF generals, as He did in 2 Kings 6 in Elisha's day.
8. Ask the God of Israel to hook you up to His prayer request line – to download to you directly and in real time what needs to be prayed for. This is what Rees Howell experienced during WW II, in a time when there were no TVs, no cell phones and no internert. Please continue to pray urgently for Israel and Israeli people. They are amazing ! - Just imagine what they are going to be like when they are saved, and filled with power of the Ruach Ha Kodesh.

The Bible tells us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psa.122:6)

So why is 'the Church' still not doing so?

With very few exceptions, the Church -- the Body of Christ -- completely ignores Isreal, both the people and the Land, in these days.

As believers, followers of Yeshua HaMashiach, grafted in to the Commonwealth of Israel, we are charged by YHVH to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, to intercede for His chosen people, to stand as watchmen on the walls, watching over and praying for His people and the Land.

Does that happen in your church. . . or in your own personal walk with the LORD?

Psalm 122 is clear in its directive to each of us: "P R A Y for the peace of Jerusalem".

GOD is not asking us, He is telling us to pray; He's commanding us.

There's none of the "Do you think you could possibly find time to pray for the peace of Jerusalem" nonsense; this is a direct, unequivocal order: P R A Y for the peace of Jerusalem!!!

Scripture tells us that GOD's people -- the Jewish people -- are the apple of His eye and He most certainly has not finished with them. The Land of Israel, clearly delineated in theWord of GOD, is sacrosanct; non-negotiable. What's more, Israel -- the people and the Land -- are very much a part of GOD's End Times plans and purposes. Read the scripures, the Word of God is perfectly clear on this issue.

So why do most of today's Church have the crazy misguided notion that it has replaced Israel in GOD's scheme of things? It is beyond the comprehension of true believers; perhaps they read a different Bible to the rest of us. ;-)

Perhaps if they spent some time with the Holy Spirit -- the Ruach HaKodesh -- and sought the heart of GOD, asking for revelation, for their eyes to be opened to the plans and purposes of GOD, they may change their minds.

I'm a gentile believer who, several years ago, cried out to the LORD, asking Him to give me His heart. He answered my prayer and gave me a heart for Israel, His people and His Land.

Father God, in the precious name of Yahshua HaMashiach,
we pray for the peace, tranquility, safety, well-being,
welfare, health, contentment, success, comfort, wholeness
and integrity of Jerusalem, in line with Your Word (Psalm 122).

We pray for the sovereignty of Israel, that it rests solely
with your people, not shared or divided or compromised.

We pray that Your people
who are called by Your name,
would humble themselves and pray,
and seek you face,
and turn from their wicked ways,
and You would hear from heaven,
forgive their sin, and heal their Land,
and give them victory over their enemies,
over all who seek to obliterate them.

Father, we pray that Your will be done
here on earth as it is in heaven

Please pray protection over the Israeli military as they pursue this battle on behalf of all of us living in the 'free' world. If Israel does not win this war today, it will be our war tomorrow. Can I suggest that you pray for your own country for the way they have treated Israel over the last sixty years. Please pray especially for England for their involvement in dividing the Land; (remember Joel 3:2 and the fate that befalls those who divide the Land?).

Yahveh Gave This Land -- To His People (Israel) -- In Perpetuity

Yahveh, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, made a Covenant with Abraham. He gave a large area of land, once known as Canaan, to Abraham and his seed (through Isaac and Jacob) forever. Yahveh confirmed His Covenant through Isaac and Jacob. He defined the boundaries of the Land: "...from the brook of Egypt to the mountains of Lebanon, and from the Euphrates to the Great Sea". Yahveh did NOT give any of the Covenant Land to Ishmael or his descendants.

Please. . . check out these scriptures. . . the promises of Yahveh, granting the Land to His Chosen People, the Jewish people, forever.

Genesis 12:1, 2, 7 (gives the land to Abraham);

Genesis 13:14-17 (all the Land, as far as he could see);

Genesis 15:7-12 (makes an everlasting Covenant with Abraham),

Genesis 17-18 (creates a Covenant over the Land);

Genesis 17:1-8, 15, 16, 19, 21 (reinforces His Covenant);

Genesis 26:2-4 (more on the Land);

Genesis 35:11, 12 (still more on the Land; confirmation by King David in 1Chronicles 16:15-18);

Exodus 23:30-33 (boundaries outlined);

Numbers 34:1-12 (borders defined);

Deuteronomy 1:7, 8 (taking the Land), 20, 21 (commands His people to possess the Land); 2:24 (possess the Land); 4:25-31 (judgement concerning the Land);

Joshua 1:1-4 (boundaries confirmed);

Psalm 105:7-11 (covenant confirmed);

Ezekiel 47:13-23 (boundaries restated);

Ezekiel 48:14,29 (the Land, their inheritance).

In those days, a covenant was the most binding contract one could make with another, far more obligating than anything we could imagine today with our 21st century mindsets. Breaking a covenant was unthinkable. The world has no equivalent and no such moral scruples today.

Yahveh chose to make a covenant with Abraham and his descendants, through Isaac and Jacob not Ishmael, that was to last for all time. He (Yah) entered into the life of a man and his family living in a God-less world, inviting them to be His People, to worship only Him, to have fellowship with Him, to live in a land designated by Him, to obey His commands, and He would bless them beyond their wildest dreams.

In Judges 2:1 He declared: "I will NEVER break My Covenant or alter what My lips have uttered".

The Jewish people were later to be reminded of this by King David (in Psalm 105:8 and 1 Chronicles 16:15: "He (the Lord) remembers His Covenant forever, the word He commanded to a thousand generations".

No other country in the world has a title deed signed by the Creator, only Israel. The Land belongs to Israel: God's Word says so; it is very clear on this issue. However, full possession of the Land given to them by Yahveh (as their inheritance) will not happen until they return to the Lord. Israel's complete possession of the Land given to her by Yahveh depends on her faithfulness, on her 'getting right' with the Lord God Almighty.

That does not mean the Jewish people will possess the Land to the exclusion of all others (i.e. non-Jews). Not at all! The prophets Isaiah and Ezekiel make it very clear that 'aliens' or non-Jews have a right to live in the Land and must be treated as equals . . .so long as they understand and accept the fact that the Land, on the basis of Yah's Covenant promise, belongs to Israel (see Eze.47:22,23; Isa.14:1; 56:6-7; regarding "inheritance", see Acts 11:18; 15:9; Eph.2:12-14; 3:6; Col.3:11).

Restoring the Jewish people to their rightful inheritance is not some sort of soppy, sentimental pie-in-the-sky idea. It is not important what our personal feelings are towards the Jewish people. They are His Chosen people and we are to respect that fact. Yahveh made an unbreakable commitment to them and that has to be honored, too.

If we as believers purport to serve the one true God, if we claim to walk with our Lord Yahshua (Jesus), then we are obligated to serve His Chosen People in a befitting manner; one that is pleasing to the Lord. And the sooner we 'Christians' get our heads around this, the better for all concerned!

Over the centuries, the Jewish people have profaned Yah's holy name. He knows that and He intends to restore His holy name, just as He intends to be seen to keep His promises, especially His Covenant with His Chosen people (and restore them to the Land He gave them).

Ezekiel 36:22-24 says: "It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for My holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you went". (23) "And I will vindicate the Holiness of My great name which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst. Then the nations will know that I am Lord," declares the Lord God, "when I prove Myself Holy among you in their sight".

Think about it!

I want to include the next verse (24) because not only does it refer to the ownership of the Land, this scriptue is being fulfilled right now; it is happening before our very eyes!

(24) "For I will take you from the nations, gather you from all the lands, and bring you into your own Land".

Each week, more and more Jewish people are seen going back to the Land of their forefathers; from all over the earth, they are returning "home". In the midst of that 35-day war (August 14, 2006), eight hundred Jewish olim made aliyah (to resettle in Israel); three planes arrived at Tel Aviv airport that day, one from London, one from New York, and one from Toronto, carrying Jewish people back to their inheritance.

In the light of all these scriptures referring to the declarations of Yahveh, we can be assured that He honors His Covenant, He keeps His Word, He fulfills His promises and so the Land belongs to His Chosen people, Israel, in perpetuity. Numbers 23:19 tells us:"God is not a man, that He should lie"; if the Lord were not to keep Covenant with Israel, what assurance would we Christians have that He would be faithful to us? Selah.

"Christian" Organizations In Serious Error

The Vatican, the World Council of Churches and the National Council of Churches embrace the same biblical error as their third century "forefathers" regarding Israel, the People and the Land. They maintain that because the Jewish people rejected Christ, Yah (God) let them go, disassociated Himself from them, and that today's Church has replaced Israel in Yah's plans and purposes.

In other words, they erroniously think that they have replaced the Jewish people, and that they are now Yah's Chosen people. But, as Romans 9 and 11 tells us, this is NOT so. Not only is it untrue, a lie from the pit of hell, it places the advocates and followers of such diatribe on a collision course with the Almighty.

These guys quite obviously don't believe in the literal translation of the Holy Scriptures; they prefer to cherry-pick what Yah says in His Word. What's more, by perpetuating their perverse, corrupt and fallacious teachings, they are leading others astray and for that they will answer to their Creator.

They appear to have no comprehension of the relevance of Israel (the People and the Land) in God's plans and purposes, especially in these end-times days.

President George W. Bush, his secretary of state, Condoleezza Rice and former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair, all professing to be Christians, have fallen into the replacement theology trap. They want Israel to give up more Land; Land that Yahveh Himself gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and their seed forever.

Just imagine how different things could have been if these two leaders had not been schooled in the replacement theology nonsense and actually understood the importance of both the People and the Land of Israel in God's plans and purposes. They would have trodden a very different path and perhaps been able to bring about a different understanding of the Israel issue among other leaders.

The National Council of Churches is in serious error in its condemnation of Israel for refusing to leave so-called "occupied" territory, Land that was given to the Jewish people by the God of Israel. The Land may be "disputed" (in their eyes) but it is not right to call it "occupied" land. These people should know better! It begs the question, "have they ever read and understood God's Word?"

Yahveh declares 109 times in His Word that the Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish people; 36 times on oath to them and 16 times saying it is FOREVER. (Which part of the word "forever" do they not understand?) There is nowhere in the Bible that God says He has changed His mind about the covenant promises He made with Abraham and confirmed through Isaac and Jacob. Not even a hint of such a thing. As for the boundaries of the Land, Yah says "from the brook of Egypt to the mountains of Lebanon and from the Euphrates river to the Great Sea (the Mediterranean). What do they not understand about that?

Both the National Council of Churches and the World Council of Churches have called on their members to divest themselves of any investments they have in companies doing business with Israel.

My understanding is that they want a complete boycott of all companies trading with Israel. Because these people fail to understand what the God of the Bible is doing with Israel or the part Israel plays in His plans, especially in these days, they want to have THEIR way with Israel, which is NOT God's way. They want to beat Israel into submission by financially crippling the Israeli economy simply to impose their will upon the Jewish people.

Unfortunately for them, Yahveh has other plans for His people and will not allow those "who have fallen away" to harm the Jewish people. As for the Land, they should try really, really hard to understand this: the Land is NOT for giving. Yah will have His way!

President Bush, secretary of state Condoleezza Rice and Quartet special envoy Tony Blair seem obsessed in being instrumental in establishing a 'Palestinian' state before their respective terms of office expire. If these "Christians" would only read their Bibles and seek the advice and guidance of the Ruach HaKodesh (The Holy Spirit), they would quickly realize that Yah's Land must not be divided in any way, shape or form. No matter how unpallatable this may be to human ears, the Covenant Land is NOT to be divided; doing so will incur the wrath of God.

The British are already under Yah's judgement for dividing the Land in 1921. In the previous year, Britain was formally granted rule over the territory know as 'Palestine'. The League of Nations issued Britain with a mandate to establish a national Jewish homeland and to facilitate the resettlement of Jewish people on this Land. Within a short time, Winston Churchill gave 78% of this Land to an Arab sheikh. This large chunk of land is now known as Jordan.

The British divided the Land and Britain has been paying the price ever since but its leaders are completely oblivious to the fact. Similarly, the USA is now paying the price for its involvement in Gaza; they put a great deal of pressure on the Israeli government to give up the Land and remove all Jewish people from the area. This was a very unwise thing to do.

Yah's Word is not to be taken lightly: Anyone (and that means 'anyone' including the USA, the UK, Russia and the EU). . . anyone involved in dividing the Covenant Land will pay the price! His plan is for His (Jewish) people to inhabit the Land He set out for them, to have sovereignty over all of it, not bits and pieces of it.

The two-state idea is a non-starter in God's eyes; it will not solve anything let alone the conflict. The only answer is to do things God's way, not man's way. Nothing else will work. Our nation's leaders need to understand that Muslims generally, and 'Palestinians' in particular, want a total wipe-out of the Jewish people. They may pretend that land-for-peace is in everyone's interest, but they have absolutely no intention of ever honoring any of their agreements. They will cheat and lie and seek public sympathy as they portray Israel as the aggressive pariah and 'occupier' of 'their' land. But it's all a game to them. They will stop at nothing until they achieve their intentions: to annihilate the Jewish people and seize their Land. However, Yahveh, the God of Avraham, Yitz'chak and Ya'akov will NOT allow that to happen.

As I write this article Syria and Iran have been re-arming Hezbollah with more rockets and other military equipment AND supplying similar hardware to Hamas. They are said to be building a network of underground tunnels and bunkers for Hamas in Gaza, similar to those of Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. So it looks like another battle is not too far away.

Hopefully, next time, the Israeli politicians, having decided to go to war, will allow the Israeli military to do their job. One of the main problems in the July/August 2006 battle was that of politicians vacillating; the other big problem was forcing the military to prosecute the war with one hand tied behind their backs. The Israeli military must be allowed a free reign in battle to crush the enemy and eliminate those who seek to destroy Israel.

All this may sound unpallatable, but it has to be done. This way, the Israeli's could seriously disable Hezbollah and Hamas to such an extent, Syria and Iran would have to come out into the open and do their own dirty work instead of having proxy forces do it for them.

However, there is a way open to them, far better than relying on the politicians and the military to defend them: that is to get right with their God and call on Him to defend and protect them, like they did in times gone by, in the days of David, Rehoboam, Abijah, Joash, Hezekiah and others. In more recent times He intervened to enable them to get back into to the Land in 1948. He gave them victory in the six-day war when they were greatly outnumbered. He can do it again.

Please pray that the eyes of the Jewish people will be opened to their need to get right with their God, to realize that Yashua is the Messiah, and for the Ruach HaKodesh to come upon them and give them a new heart, a new Spirit.

THIS Nation -- Called By God -- Rejected HIS People and Reneged On Its Commitments!

A restored Israel was very much a British ideal and typified British policy for many years leading up to the Balfour Declaration in 1917. After the Declaration, the British Government, in particular the utterly odious, wicked, brutal and corrupt military administration and high-ranking British Army Officers at the time, embarked on a policy of facilitating the torture and murder of hundreds of thousands of Jewish people.

Not only did these anti-semitic Brits collude to get rid of Yah's Chosen people living in the area designated as a homeland for the Jewish people, they sought to prevent those escaping the persecution of Hitler from reaching their 'homeland' by whatever means possible. A most despicable act!

Take, for example, the case of the immigrant ship, the Struma, only one of many, many instances of cold, calculated, deliberate anti-Jewish killings perpertrated by the British 'authorities.'

The Jewish people on board the Struma were fleeing from the extermination programme taking place in Romania. Almost 800 people were squeezed onto this very old cattle boat, designed and built almost one hundred years previously for use only on inland waterways, not the open seas.

Somehow, this overloaded, broken-down old cattle boat managed to find its way into the harbour of Instanbul, Turkey. The Jewish people on board were seeking British Authority permission (through the British Ambassador to Istanbul) to disembark and travel on to their national Homeland (that would, intime, become known as the State of Israel).

While millions of Jewish people were being exterminated by the evil Nazi regime, its sympathizers and followers, you would have thought that those managing to escape would have been welcomed with open arms, well looked after and helped in every possible way. And they would have been had they not encountered (the anti-Jewish) British administration and military personel, most of whom were despatched from Cairo by the British Government, specifically to set up a National Homeland for the Jewish people.

Unfortunately for the Jewish people, the Brits wielding power and authority over them, did not like the idea of a Jewish Homeland; they were strongly opposed to the Jewish people returning to the Land. Consequently, the very people who were supposed to help the Jewish people betrayed them and did whatever they could to prevent them having a homeland.

Jewish people, quite righly, saw this as aiding and abeting Hitler's extermination policy. Some non-Jews saw it as appeasing the Arab oil producers.

The Church, as usual, was silent, pretending there was nothing untoward going on. With very few exceptions, the Church did not make any sort of stand against what was happening; they were either too scared to speak out or perhaps they thought that God had finished with the Jewish people (as much of the Church does today) and so it didn't matter about the Jewish people being wiped out.

The Brits denied the Struma's Jewish contingent entry to their National Homeland. This was in contravention to the mandate given to the British Government some twenty years earlier by the League of Nations, to facilitate a return of Jewish people to a National Homeland, later known as the State of Israel.

The British Authorities instructed the Turkish Authorities NOT to allow the people on board the Struma to disembark. They were not to be allowed on Turkish soil at any cost.

The Jewish people languished on the cattle boat in freezing conditions in the Istanbul harbor area for several weeks. They were packed on to that boat like sardines in a tin, above and below deck, with NO space to lie down, no washing facilities whatsoever, and with only ONE makeshift toilet facility.

Almost 800 men, women, children and babies were on that little cattle boat. There were even women giving birth on that boat in the midst of such filthy, inhuman conditions. People were dying through lack of food and water. But non of that mattered as far as the pompous, self-serving British Administration was concerned; after all, "they were only Jews!"

The British Administration, actually there in the Land they had been commanded to use to set up a Jewish homeland, did everything they could to prevent the mandate being fulfilled. They pursued their own program of appeasing the Arab oil producers by tried very hard to wipe out the Jewish people and prevent them from taking back their Land.

On the 70th day of languishing in the Istanbul harbor area, in near arctic conditions, the Turkish Authorities (at the behest of the British Administration in Israel) got a line aboard the Struma (by getting them to believe they were going to be towed into a position to disembark). The Turks then proceeded to tow the Struma out into the Black Sea.

At a safe distance, the Turks cut the line and left the Jewish people on board the Struma to fend for themselves with NO food, NO water, NO fuel and an engine that didn't work.

That wasn't the end of the matter.

Early the following morning, a loud explosion was heard all over Istanbul. It was the Struma. She conveniently exploded and then disappeared into the icy-cold water, never to be seen again. Almost eight hundred men, women, children and babies perished.

Only ONE person survived!

This well-documented story has been told in several books and documentaries. In Gustav Scheller's "Operation Exodus" he tells how, when he and his team were sailing through this part of the Black Sea carrying Jewish people back to Israel, they held an on-board service of repentance. With hearts united, they simply wanted to stand before Yahveh and seek His forgiveness for Britain's part in this evil act, and to ask the Jewish people for their forgiveness.

They repented and prayed and sought forgiveness for this most sinful act of killing so many Jewish people, who were themselves, trying to escape certain death. As many of the Christians (in Gustav's account) were weeping and repenting, some of the Jewish passengers joined them in the service. They were touched by what they saw; "If you love us this way," said one Jewish passenger, "it gives us hope for the future."

We need to give the Jewish people our love and support. We -- the Church and the nation -- need to repent and seek Yah's forgiveness for the way we have treated the Jewish people over the years and for our involvement in dividing the Land (see Joel 3:2).

The British government and the Church (together) need to call a national day of repentance.

We (who claim to follow the Lord) have need to weep and get our hearts right before our Lord, Yashua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah). It bewilders me how any believer can hold a bad attitude towards Yah's Chosen People. To claim to love the Lord (our Jewish Rabbi) as we do, and yet ignore, despise or treat lightly, His people, is totally incomprehensible.

If your heart is right with the Lord, your heart will be right with His people and you will realize the importance of the Land. And vice-versa: if your heart is not right with the Lord, His people and the Land will never register on your spiritual radar.

The UK is not the only nation guilty of turning its back on Israel in their times of need. Thirty two nations at the 1938 Evian conference refused to make a stand for Israel, including the USA. However, Britain was the only nation given a mandate to establish a National Homeland for the Jewish people. . . and failed abysmally. Not only did they fail the Jewish people, more importantly, Britain failed Yahveh, the God of Israel.

Repentance is the first step. We now need to seize the opportunity Yahveh has set before us to make amends and serve the Jewish people, according to His Word. We need to demonstrate, through the love of Yahshua, how deeply we care for them.

We need to be more vocal over the Land issue. Yah's Word clearly delineates the boundaries of the Land that He Covenanted with Abraham, and confirmed to Isaac and Jacob, and that it was to their seed for ever.

We are to love the Jewish people with the love that Yahshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah) has for them. We are to pray for Yah's plans and purposes for Israel -- the people and the Land -- in these End Times.

Could This Be The Catalyst That Triggers The Greatest Spiritual Awakening This World Has Ever Seen?

Romans 11:15 says, "For if their rejection and exclusion from the benefits of salvation were overruled for the reconciliation of a world to God, what will their acceptance and admission mean? It will be nothing short of life from the dead."

Their (the Jewish people's) acceptance of Yahshua (Jesus) as their Messiah and Saviour WILL trigger a worldwide domino effect (like we have never seen) of people getting saved, submitting their lives to the Lordship of Yahshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Messiah). Can you imagine that?

Isaiah 27:6 says, "...Israel will blossom and sprout and they will fill the whole earth with fruit."

2Peter 3:11,12 says, "...You should lead holy and godly lives, as you wait for the Day of GOD and work to hasten its coming."

Praying for Israel is like working to hasten the coming of the day of the LORD and is a major key to the Kingdom of YAH breaking out.

Think about this: Messianic Jewish believers taking the Gospel to non-Jewish people, the world over; then, Jew and Gentile coming together (as one) to praise and worship the LORD.

Isn't that how it should be. . . isn't that the way YAH intended: the Jewish people taking the Gospel to the Gentiles? Think about it: Jewish believers witnessing to Gentile (as well as Jewish) non-believers, telling them about Yahshua, the Messiah, the Jewish Rabbi, born of a virgin, who died for our sins. This would surely please the Father, the God of Avraham, Yitz'chak and Ya'akov.

We need to get serious: to earnestly pray for the people and the Land of Israel. Israel's acceptance of Yahshua (Jesus), as their Messiah, will be the catalyst that triggers the greatest spiritual awakening this world has ever seen.

There will come a time when the Jewish people cry out "...blessed is He Who comes in the name of the Lord," (Mat.23:39). Yahshua's return, His Second Coming, will not happen until this occurs.

Look at Yashua's words in the last three verses of Matthew 23. This is what ("Complete Jewish Bible" translator) David H. Stern has to say about them: "As if to refute the theology (developed later by the Church) which teaches that God is no longer interested in the Jewish people as such, Yashua here gives the condition for the salvation of national Israel, as distinct from salvation of individual Jewish and Gentile people. In these verses, at the end of His ministry, He addresses the nation of Israel, speaking to the capital, Yerushalayim (Jerusalem), and thus continues the Tanakh's tradition of corporate salvation, which will come when Israel as a nation blesses the Messiah, who comes in the name of Adonai. The fact that Yahshua will not return until Israel receives national salvation is a powerful motivator for evangelizing the Jewish people." ("Jewish New Testament Commentary" by David H. Stern.)

When Yahshua came first time around, He wasn't welcomed. Indeed, He was spurned, rejected, despised, spat upon and more, especially by the religious leaders of the day. He has no intention of coming back until the people of Jerusalem are ready to welcome Him as their Lord and Saviour, Son of God, Yahshua HaMashiach. He IS Lord of Lords and King of Kings, Jesus the Messiah.

YAH is calling His people home; He is tugging at the heartstrings of the Jewish people still living in the Diaspora. Many have already made aliyah (returned to Israel) and for the first time, there are now more Jewish people living in the Land of Israel than in the USA.

Mid-2006 saw the Jewish population of Israel top 7,000,000 for the first time. But there's still a long way to go, with something like six million still residing in the USA alone, not to mention Russia (717k), France (606k), Argentina (395k), Canada (394k), UK (302k), Ukraine (142k), Germany (107k), Brazil (95k), Australia (90k), South Africa (88k), Belarus (72k), Hungary (60k), Mexico (53k), Belgium (51k), Spain (48k), Netherlands (32k), Moldova (31k), Uruguay (31k), Italy (30k), Venezuela (25k), Poland (24k), Iran (20k), Chile (20k), Sweden (18k), Uzbekistan (17k), Turkey (17k), Switzerland (15k), Panama (10k), and many other countries around the world with varying numbers (up to 10k) of Jewish people living there. This is something we should be praying into. (The figures given are from a 2005 census.)

I cannot over-emphasize the importance of praying, at least daily, for the people and the Land of Israel. While doing so, pray for the scales to fall from their eyes, for the spiritual fog to be lifted from their vision, so they can clearly see what is required of them. Pray that they may realize that Yahshua IS Messiah; and that they may understand YAH's calling on their lives. Pray that they realize that the safest place for them to be is in Israel, not America or Canada or the UK or anywhere else, for that matter. YAH wants His people back in the Land!!!

Each of us may have different reasons for praying, but pray for Israel we must. We are obliged to. . . instructed to. Isaiah tells us to. David tells us to. YAH (the God of Israel) tells us to. Yahshua (Jesus) tells us to. The Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) is leading and guiding us to pray and make a stand, once and for all, for Israel.

I'm certain YAH wants to put His heart for His Covenant people and Land onto the hearts of all born-again believers. But first, He wants ALL traces of anti-semitism, anti-Zionism, anti-Jewish, anti-Israeli thoughts and feelings cleansed from our systems, so He can fill us with the compassion He has for the people and the Land of Israel. Invite Him to place on your heart that which is on His.

Pray for the Jewish people to come back to their Creator, Yahveh Elohim. "If My people who are called by My name, would humble themselves and pray and seek My face, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sins and heal their Land," (2Chronicles 7:14).

The history of the Jewish people and their relationship with YAH has been a turbulent one, to say the least, swinging to and fro, to Him, away from Him, to Him, then away from Him. They would turn to YAH and then turn away. When in trouble, they'd cry out to Him. Life would be good and then they'd become complacent, thinking they no longer needed Him and slide away from Him.

They would get themselves into trouble again and turn back to Him. Life would improve and then they'd fall away from Him. On and on they went, like a giant pendelum swinging to and fro. To Yah, away from Him. Back to Him, away from Him. It's as if they couldn't (or wouldn't) learn their lesson.

At this point in time, they are very much away from Him, so we need to pray for them to turn to Him; we need to cry out to Him on their behalf. . . to intercede for them. Build momentum and keep it going, individually, in prayer groups, in churches, the length and breadth of the land. The onus is on us to pray for Israel, YAH's Covenant people and the Land.

The Church, by and large (and with very few exceptions) is not just sleeping, it's dead! And has been for many years. Most Church folk believe that the Church has replaced Israel; that the Jewish people and the Land of Israel are now irrelevant and no longer feature in God's plans and purposes. How wrong can they be!

We need an Esther Church to rise up and take its place for such a time as this. Mordecai's words of warning should be ringing in our ears: "For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" (Esther 4:14).

The word "perish" reminded me of another stark warning from YAH, this time in Isaiah 60 and verse 12: "For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you (ISRAEL) will perish; yes, those nations will be utterly destroyed."

Think about it!

We need to pray with a sense of urgency for YAH's plans and purposes for both the people and the Land of Israel. We must pray for YAH to raise up an Esther Church to fulfill "the Church's" responsibilities by functioning in the way He expects it to function, as opposed to the way "man" wants to do it. His heart must surely ache when He sees what is going on in the Church in name of Christ! Isn't it time church leaders all over this nation laid down their own agenda's and picked up YAH's agenda?

Please note: the Church is NOT and never will be the new Israel or Spiritual Israel nor has it replaced Israel in the eyes of YAH. Only in the eyes of those who have fallen into apostasy can such heinous lies be perpetuated. The perpertrators of this garbage will have to stand before the LORD on the Day of Judgement and account for their blasphemy. We believers are heirs, members and sharers together in the promises of YAH through His Son, Yashua. We have NOT replaced Israel but have become a part of her by becoming members of her family, grafted in to the one true vine. "...we are no longer foreigners or strangers; on the contrary, we are fellow citizens with God's people and members of His family," (Ephesians 2:14). Halleluyah.

As believers, it is our duty to stand with Israel, so we -- just like Queen Esther of old -- must rise to the opportunity YAH has given us. We need to function as an Esther Church, a "grafted in to the Cultivated Jewish Olive Tree with its Hebrew roots and Biblical culture" Church that never forgets that it is part of the Commonwealth of Israel. Doing so would enable us to be fed and nourished from the rich roots of the genuine Olive Tree, the one true vine. What a difference that would make!

The Jewish people are the parents of our faith. Without them we would NOT have known the one true God. Our Bible says that in the last days, the hearts of the fathers will be turned to their children and the hearts of the children turned to their fathers (Malachi 4:6). We should turn our hearts to the Jewish people.

The Bible also says that if we "honor (esteem and value as precious) our fathers and mothers -- and this is the first commandment with a promose --, that all may be well with us and we may live long on the earth," (Ephesians 6:2,3). I don't know about you, but I want ALL the blessing that YAH has to offer me.

It is right that we honor (not despise) the Jewish people, YAH's Chosen people, the world's host people, through whom the Messiah chose to come to us. It is right that we demonstrate unconditional love for the Jewish people and stand up for their God-given homeland.

The principal cause of all Church divisions was the separation of Jews and Gentiles in the 4th century when the Gentiles became dominant in the Church and turned their backs on their Jewish brothers and sisters. Their actions and attitudes were the very antithesis of what Paul teaches in Romans 9 through 11.

As believers, we need to challenge the Church: to be aware of the terrible history of anti-Jewish persecution from the Church; and to strive to unite and bless the Messianic Jewish movement (that is increasing and developing very quickly) and recognize it as the original host "Church."

The Church talks about becoming the Bride of Christ: does it realize that doing so means becoming the Bride of a very JEWISH Messiah (who has NOT discarded His Jewishness)? If so, why is the Church ignoring the Jewish people and the Land of Israel, carrying on as if they don't exist?

Why is the Church not standing with Israel? Why is it not serving Israel in these days in the way YAH intended? Why is much of the Church pretending to be "the new spiritual Israel"? Why are so-called "Christian" organizations like the International Council of Curches and the World Council of Churches pursuing an anti-Jewish/anti-Israeli agenda, deliberately trying to further inflame anti-Israeli feeling around the world?

If we profess to believe in Yahshua as Lord and Saviour, our Spiritual homeland is Israel, even though we (physically) reside somewhere else. Our principal earthly city is Jerusalem (and one day will receive the new "Jerusalem" from above, Revelation 21:2). Our supreme ruler is Yahshua, King of the JEWISH people, who will reign over all the earth. How will today's (largely) anti-Jewish Church cope with that, I wonder?

Our government pretends to support Israel, but when push comes to shove, it pursues it's nauseating policy of appeasing the Arab oil producers (at Israel's expense). If a political leader tries to step out of the mold and lend any kind of support to Israel, he is immediately targeted by the political (self-serving) bomb throwers and subjected to a barrage of abuse.

What these clowns fail to realize is this: If we -- the nation, the Church, a church, individuals -- are to prosper in every way, we can NOT ignore YAH's clear instructions to bless the Jewish people, especially "those of the household of faith [those who belong to God's family with you, the believers]." See Romans 15:26-27 and Galatians 6:10 for further confirmation.

Earlier this year I wrote to some of those big (US) churches that you see broadcasting on the satellite system, regarding their stand on Israel. What I got back was shocking. One ministry in particular concerned me; I used to watch their broadcasts. The man seems a plausible preacher, but I should have spotted some of the tell-tale signs. Israel did not figure in this man's ministry at all (and his ministry is huge, with a mult-million dollar-a-year budget).

They had just opened an office in Washington DC to lobby politicians, when I quit watching. But that wasn't the reason I ceased watching their broadcasts. They seemed pre-occupied with their own good works. Israel, and YAH's plans and purposes for them, were never mentioned; It was as if Israel (the people and the Land) didn't exist. So I wrote them and asked about their stand on Israel.

Their reply was very clear: they believed that the Church was the new Spiritual Israel, and that God had finished with the real Israel, both the people and the Land. And that they, the Church, had inherited the promises originally given to Israel and the Jewish people. They really believe this stuff, and through their huge ministry, will have taught it to untold thousands, hundreds of thousands, of gullible people. To say they're deluded is putting it mildly.

Most of those I wrote to did not respond; I wonder why?

Let's pray and keep on praying, wherever we are, whatever we're doing, let's keep praying until YAH's plans and purposes for the people and the Land of Israel are fulfilled in every way. It is important we don't miss the opportunity He has set before us.

As watchmen on the walls, we need direction, focus, dedication and persistence, purity and effectiveness. We need a prayer army of warriors doing battle for the LORD and Israel. And we need to be servant believers who speak out boldly about the Jewishness of our Messiah, the Jewishness of the Gospel, the Jewishness of our Spiritual roots, the Jewishness of YAH's Word (the Torah is not dead and buried), and the Jewishness of the Church as YAH intended it to be!

Let's get serious and pray for the people and the Land of Israel and YAH's plans and purposes for them, especially in these End-Times. Pray for Israel's acceptance of Yashua (Jesus), as their Messiah -- THIS will be the catalyst that triggers the greatest spiritual awakening this world has ever seen.

It's Time To Stop Pussyfooting Around and Make A Stand For Israel

We pray for Israel because we want to be in the will of Almighty GOD. We want to be doing the things He has instructed us to do in the Word.

Several years ago I heard a Christian asking GOD to give him His heart. This made an impression on me. The more I thought and prayed about it, the more interesting, the more challenging it became. So I too prayed and asked the LORD to give me His heart.

My prayer was answered but in a way I had not anticipated. He gave me His heart alright; what I had not realized is that His heart is for Israel, the people and the Land. Knowing, as I do now, that the heartbeat of GOD is for His chosen people and the Covenant Land, it makes sense that when I asked for His heart, that's exactly what He gave me: His heart for Israel.

Somewhere along the way I was introduced to the "Complete Jewish Bible" translated by David H. Stern. I bought one. The Complete Jewish Bible is an amazing translation. As I read my Bible, the Holy Spirit, the Ruach HaKodesh, was showing me things I hadn't seen before, especially the texts relating to the people and the Land of Israel and the teachings of the Torah. YAH's Word suddenly took on a whole new dimension.

The Jewish people are still His Chosen People and the "apple of His eye," (Zechariah 2:8). They remain "a people near to Him," (Psa.148:14). If His people and their Land are so close to His heart, then surely they should be close to ours too. We (Gentiles) who profess to have accepted the very Jewish Jesus -- Yahshua HaMashiach -- as our Lord and Saviour need to become more like Him which means embracing His heartbeat.

Do you want to be in alignment with His heart? Do you want to feel the heartbeat of YAH (GOD)? Then get close to the things that are close to His heart; and there is none more close to His heart than His people and the Land of Israel (they're inseparable), especialy the crucial role they play in YAH's End Time plans and purposes. (YAH is an abbreviated form of YAHVEH which translates as "I Am" and the "Ever Present God.")

Allow the LORD to tenderize your heart. Ask Him to place on your heart the delights and desires of His heart. Ask the Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit) to give you His heart of compassion for Israel, the people and the Land. Your walk with the LORD will never be the same again!

As believers it is our duty to take a stand for Israel. If we accept the Bible as the infallible Word of YAHVEH, if we accept Word of YAHVEH as GOD-breathed, we should accept what He says, and DO what He tells us to do, and NOT cherry-pick the bits we like and ignore the bits we don't like. That sort of behaviour will eventually put us on a collision course with the Almighty.

Isaiah 62, verses 6 and 7, tell us that we should take no rest -- day or night -- when it comes to praying for Jerusalem; we should never fall silent and be persistent in reminding the LORD of what He has said about Israel, the people and the Land, until He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

At this moment in time, Jerusalem is far from being "a praise in the earth," so we, as watchmen on the walls, must pray and intercede -- night and day -- until Jerusalem becomes a praise in all the earth. Not for our sake, but for Zion 's. This should be a priority with each of us if we profess to follow Yahshua (Jesus), our Jewish teacher, LORD and Saviour.

Will there be consequences? You bet! Positive and negative. Good and bad. Blessing and attack. But knowing you're in the will of YAH makes it all worth while. When excuses not to pray turn up, stamp them out. When thoughts not to attend Prayer For Israel meetings occur, get rid of them quickly. When distractions come, it's time for you to overcome. When interruptions happen, be firm when dealing with them.

Ask YAH to give you His heart so that we can pray with accuracy and discernment for His plans and purposes in these End Time days. YAHVEH wants His people back in the Land. He wants to give them a new heart; put a new Spirit inside them. He wants to restore the Covenant Land he set aside especially for them, His Covenant people, along with His laws and rulings. He says, "You will be My people, and I will be your GOD," (Ezekiel 36).

"Pray for shalom in Jerusalem; may those who love you prosper," (Psa.122:6). "May shalom be in your ramparts, prosperity in your palaces," (v.7). There has never been a more critical time as this for our works to match our faith. We have a responsibility to act on the Word and to DO IT NOW.

YAH continues to bless and prosper those who have risen to the challenge of His Word, serving the Jewish people. Those who facilitate aliyah (the return of the Jewish people to Israel). . . those who serve the Jewish people, feeding, clothing and taking care of them, especially the poor, the hungry, the thirsty, the widows and orphans. . . those giving/providing shelter for the homeless. . . those reaching out to Jewish people incarcerated for their stand for Israel and/or for being Jewish. . . those serving the Jewish people around the world and especially in Israel. . . these who serve will be well blessed. This is not to say we shouldn't serve non-Jewish people, we should; but the Bible says that our giving, our serving, our ministry is "to the Jew first."

When Yahshua talks about "these brothers of mine" and "these people" in Matthew 25, verses 40 and 45, He is talking to us about His Jewish people. He clearly tells us that whenever we "do these things for one of the least important of these brothers of mine, we do it for Him." Whenever we refuse to do things "for the least important of these (Jewish) people, we refuse to do it for Him." Think about it.

Genesis 12:3 says "I will bless those who bless you and curse him who curses (or uses insolent language toward you or makes light of) you. Those who make light of the (Jewish) people, who doggedly refuse to do what they are told to do (from the Word), Matthew 25:41 says such people will "go off to eternal punishment, but those who have done what YAH wants will go to eternal life," (v.46). Selah!

Who Says GOD Has Finished With The Jewish People?

Many Christians wrongly believe that, because GOD rejected His people for a time, He relinquished any responsibility for them or obligation to them for ever. In effect, they're saying He abandoned His people totally and comletely from there on.

Some Christians feel that GOD finished with the Jewish people at the cross of Calvary; they blame them for 'murdering' Jesus (as they put it) and call them "Christ killers". Such people believe the Covenant promises that GOD made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob passed to the Church and that the Church has replaced Israel in GOD's scheme of things.

That is the biggest load of bunkum ever to come out of the mouths of otherwise friendly, reasonable, likeable and intelligent people. Unfortunately, such Sunday Christians -- pew warmers -- do not read and study the Word of GOD or ask the Holy Spirit to reveal scripture to them so that they might understand what The Most High is trying to say to them; otherwise, they wouldn't make such asinine statements or preach and teach such silly, stupid and ridiculous nonsense.

Replacement theology, as it's called, is extremely dangerous and has no place in the lives of the followers of Jesus the Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach.

YHVH, Adonai, the GOD of Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya'akov has NOT, did NOT and will NOT EVER abandon His chosen people, Israel. Look at Jeremiah 31:35-37. . .

Thus says the LORD, who gives the sun for light by day, and the fixed order of the moon and stars for light by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar; the LORD of Hosts is His name: "If this fixed order departs from before Me," declares the LORD, "then the offspring of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me forever." Thus says the LORD, "If the heavens above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out below, then I will also cast off all the offspring of Israel for all they have done," declares the LORD.

Which part of that do the replacement theology advocates not understand? ;-)

In AD70, Emperor Titus went through Jerusalem stealing and destroying and killing and carried off many thousands of Jewish people into captivity. Many were scattered around the globe. God allowed their land and property to be taken away from them; indeed, He allowed them to be removed from the Land.

Against all odds, and in spite of being on the receiving end of the curses of Deuteronomy 28, they managed to retain and maintain their identity. In 1948 GOD decided to bring His chosen people back into the Land and Israel was reborn.

They have, with GOD's help, survived war after war and no matter what we as Christian believers think or feel about the Jewish people, they are still GOD's CHOSEN PEOPLE, and we are to respect that fact. So the sooner we get used to it, the better. The Jewish people are GOD's chosen people, the apple of His eye, and we as believers are called to serve them, to be a blessing to them, to help them in any way possible, and to pray and intercede for them. That's not me saying it, GOD commands it in His Word.

Isaiah 60:12 "For the nation and the kingdom which will not serve you (Israel) will perish, and the nations will be utterly ruined, destroyed"!

That is YHVH, the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob speaking through he prophet Isaiah and that statement alone should fill us with dread and great concern for the Church and the nation.

We, the Church and the nation, are guilty of not serving Israel and of making light of Israel; we are guilty of disregarding GOD's instructions to followers of Yeshua (Jesus) regarding His People and His Land. The time to right those wrongs is way overdue. It is time for "The Church" and the Government to call a National Day of Repentance and Prayer NOW!!!

Look at what Jeremiah 23:7-8 says. . . (remember this is GOD speaking through His servant, Jeremiah). . .

"Therefore behold, the days are coming," declares the LORD, "when they will no longer say, 'As the LORD lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of Egypt,' but, 'As the LORD lives, who brought up and led back the descendants of the household of Israel from the north land and from all the countries where I have driven them.' Then they will live on their own soil."

The days referred to in this scripture from Jeremiah are now. . . the days we are living in; we are seeing this prophecy unfold before our very eyes.

Right now, GOD is giving those nations (where Jewish people are living) a unique opportunity to bless His people by helping them make aliyah (return to Israel). We have many Jewish people living in our own nation; here is our opportunity to be a blessing to them.

GOD is calling them home. He wants His people back in the Land. Over recent years many have answered His call and made aliyah, in spite of all the troubles. The Jewish people responding positively to the call of GOD are in the will of The Almighty and Israel becomes THE safest place for them; far safer than where they have been living all or most of their lives.

By getting involved with those who are helping Jewish people to make aliyah to Israel, we can serve them and bless them. By donating finances to the various charitable trusts specifically established to help the Jewish people return to the homeland of their forefathers, we can be a blessing.

From the beginning of July to the end of August this year (2006), 4000+ people made aliyah to Israel from different parts of the world. On August 16 alone, three flights landed in Israel from New York, Toronto and London, carrying over 800 Jewish people to the place where GOD wants them to be. The Israeli authorities expect 24,000 Jewish people to make aliyah during 2006. And we can be part of it by giving our finances to organizations such as Operation Exodus, Ebenezer Emergency Fund, EbenezerUSA or Exobus, and/or volunteering to help wherever possible.

WE ARE UNDER JUDGEMENT

When people ask, are we on the edge of judgement, I can give them a categorical assurance that we are no longer on the edge of judgement. . .we are UNDER judgement!

All across the country, The Church is crying out for revival, but it eludes us. Why?

Could it be that now is the time for Christians to wake up and face reality: Britain is in a far worse state, spiritually, before GOD, than it has ever been. Since the nineteen-twenties, this nation has slowly but surely become morally and spiritually bankrupt. We were once regarded as a Christian nation, but now we're a heathen nation; and many misguided authority figures are proud of this fact.

We have been sliding down a slippery slope to nowhere since the then Commonwealth Secretary, Winston Churchill, decided to divide God's Land, contrary to Bible instructions and to Article 5 of the League of Nations' Mandate. He gave away, to an Arab sheikh, in return for who knows what, 78% of the land allocated for the establishment of a Jewish homeland . . .land which was then set aside for Arab settlement only.

Churchill's excuse for this deliberate act of betrayal was that his action was in accordance with talks begun before the Mandate was received. At the stroke of a pen Churchill removed 78% of Jewish land allocated to them by the League of Nations for a homeland, not to mention GOD covenanting this land to them many years previously, as a homeland.

Please understand the ramifications of this: The land that was left -- the remaining 22% -- was designated 'for Jewish OR Arab settlement'; the 78% that was given away was restricted to NON-Jewish settlement only. The land allotted to a Jewish homeland was somewhat more than they have today because they have given so much away in the false belief that they would win that elusive peace they have been seeking all these years. Oh, what folly!

(In Joshua 1 GOD gave His chosen people ALL the land from the brook of Egypt in the south to the mountains of Lebanon in the north, and from the Euphrates River in the east to the Great Sea in the west. Strange as it may seem to some, I can't find any place in my Bible where it says GOD changed His mind -- revoked His Covenant -- and took the Land away from His people. ;o)

So, are we, the Church, going to carry on preaching and praying 'wishy-washy' sermons and prayers, singing and dancing and holding make-me-feel-good meetings and conferences and all manner of outreaches in denial of reality. . . or is it time for a fresh, tougher view of the times we are living in?

What is the stumbling block?

It's us. . . the Church!

Why is GOD not answering our prayers for revival?

Because they're probably not in line with the Word of GOD, the Will of GOD, or HIS plans and purposes. More to the point, whilst ever we ignore the fact that Israel is the "apple of His eye", for as long as we fail to put Israel -- the people and the Land are inseparable -- at the top of our prayer list, we will pay the the price. Until we recognize the importance of Israel to our Father in heaven, the GOD of Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov, the GOD of Israel, we will NOT see revival in the Church.

Genesis 12:3 says "I will bless those who bless you, and curse him that curses you". I am reliably informed (by Bishop Dominiquae Bierman) that if you look at the original language, a more suitable or appropriate (in the circumstances) translation would be "and curse those who make light of you". To make light of something is "to treat something as not being important . . .not taking something/somebody seriously" (Oxford ALD).

How dare we behave in such a manner!

There are those misguided individuals and churches who believe 'The Church' has replaced Israel in GOD's scheme of things.

How dare they insult ADONAI and denigrate "the apple of HIS eye".

We need to wise up, both as a Church and as individuals, and face the truth about ourselves as GOD's people.

We -- the Church -- directly and indirectly -- disobey and deny the truth of GOD's Word and Laws.

We condone behaviour in some church leaders that is an abomination to GOD.

Many, if not most Christians seem to think that GOD has finished with Israel and has no further use for the Jewish people. They're under the illusion that the Church has replaced Israel in GOD's plans and purposes, in fact, this is commonly taught from the pulpits around the nation.

We disregard GOD's command (in Psalm 122) to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

We excell in NOT doing what the Word tells us -- commands us -- to do; for some obscure reason, we seem to think the commands are requests with a 'pretty please' tagged on to the end.

In fact we disregard most of what GOD tells us to do in the Word, especially if it is from the "Old" Testament. To many Christians, the New Testament has replaced the Old Testament, which is actually taught in too many pulpits and even in some of the Bible colleges.

We are mostly weak and hopeless in declaring GOD's Truth to a world where truth is relative. . . where everything is considered and judged in comparison to what the world sees as normal (and is probably garnered from soaps, tabloids, pubs, clubs, magazines, their piers and daytime television).

We accept teachings that simply do not bear up under close scrutiny of the Bible, and when held up to the pure light of scripture, it's as if such teachings are from a different Book. So many changes have been made over recent years in the name of progress and 'bringing things up-to-date' that we are in danger of becoming -- or have we become, more or less -- an apostate Church.

Is it any wonder, therefore, that GOD stopped internationally recognized Bible teacher, David Pawson, mid-flow in a meeting to tell him that He (GOD) was giving Britain over to Islam? David Pawson is not a man who would speak lightly of such things. If he says it happened, I believe him. I think this occurred around 2002/2003. Now, in 2006, we can see it coming to pass.

In Ezekiel 13, GOD addresses those in the nation of Israel He held responsible for speaking the truth to His people. His warnings and judgements should cause us to be in a state of alarm because the Church in Britain IS GUILTY of the same SINS OF COMPLACENCY AND SELF-RIGHTIOUSNESS as the Israel addressed by EZEKIEL.

In these verses, Ezekiel condemns those who announce well-being ("don't worry, everything's alright") for the people of Israel, saying they prophesy out of their imaginations rather than speaking the word of GOD. He compares them to jackals or foxes, animals usually associated with damaging something so badly that it loses its value. So instead of helping prevent destruction, they are party to it. GOD is against those teachers and preachers who announce all is well when it isn't

The loving discipline of GOD when we are going astray comes in three stages:

1) Warnings and rebukes to turn us back to the truth.

2) If the warnings and rebukes fall on deaf ears then that same loving discipline of GOD moves into acts of judgement. We can see all of this in the history of Israel in the Old Testament, for example, Ezekiel 22:31.

3) If the warnings, rebukes and judgements are rejected then GOD lifts His hand of protection and leaves us to reap the consequences of our foolishness. And this is what is happening in Britain today.

During the last 85 years (since the 1920's when we divided the Land of Israel) we have seen the catastrophic decline of both church and nation. Britain has been stripped of its empire; all biblical standards of morality have been cast aside while the Church has accepted with little or no protest and in some cases, applauded, the standards the world has set.

In light of scripture, it is no coincidence that our national decline has run a parallel course to our unfavourable attitude to the nation of Israel. Please read that again: In light of scripture, it is no coincidence that Britain's national decline has run a parallel course to our unfavourable attitude to the nation of Israel.

God has lifted His hand of protection to allow us to reap the consequences of our foolish un-Godly behaviour.

That is not to say that the political and spiritual state of Israel is right: far from it. But it is to say that we the Church, as GOD's representative people on earth, have ignored, made light of, bullied, reneged on our promises, and failed to support the very people ADONAI describes as the 'apple of His eye'.

The prophetic writings of the Bible speak of a period of time known as “The Day of the Lord”, the focus of which is the second coming of our LORD, Yeshua HaMashiach -- Jesus the Messiah. This period begins with the events which Yeshua describes as “birth-pangs”. This is a time of increasing upheaval -- great trouble and suffering -- among the nations of the earth and culminates in the physical return of Yeshua and the establishment of His millennial Kingdom here on earth.

The central issue of these events is ADONAI's dealings with the nation of Israel. The testimony of Scripture is that the return of Yeshua is specifically linked to an attack by the nations of the world on the Land of Israel. This culminates in a disastrous siege on the Holy city of Jerusalem, from which a remnant of the nation will be rescued by the return of Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah (see Zechariah 14:1-15).

Following His return, He will judge ALL nations in the light of THEIR treatment of the JEWISH people and the SIN of having DIVIDED the LAND of ISRAEL.

Joel 3 verses 1-2
“For then, at that time, when I restore
the fortunes of Y'hudah (Judah) and Yerushalayim (Jerusalem),
I will gather all nations and bring them down
to the Valley of Y'hoshafat [ADONAI judges]
I will enter into judgement there
for my people, my heritage Israel,
whom they scattered among the nations;
then they divided my land.”

What is the significance of this for us as believers in Britain today?

In Genesis 12:3 GOD tells Abraham that those who bless his descendants will be blessed and those who curse them will themselves be cursed.

In the context of the “Day of the LORD”, GOD uses much stronger language to convey His warning to us. In Isaiah 60:12, GOD spells it out loud and clear:

“For the nation or kingdom that will not serve you will perish; yes, those nations shall be utterly destroyed”.

Listen to that again:

“For the nation and kingdom which shall not serve you (Israel) shall perish, and those nations shall be utterly ruined”.

And that includes Britain! . . .a government and nation that seems to prefer appeasing the Arabs (more specifically, those Arabs who control oil producing land).

We persist in poking our finger into the apple of God's eye. We refuse to serve, help or show favour to Israel. We make light of her troubles instead of having the courage to stand up and speak out against those who seek to obliterate her.

It is bad enough that the preceding paragraph applies to our non-believing humanistic government. What is worse, however, is that this damning indictment applies to the Church. . . to most Christian believers!

For all who believe the Word of GOD and take it seriously, Isaiah 60, v.12 should fill us with trepidation. In this warning GOD confronts ALL nations (notice He does not say 'all nations except Britain'). No. ALL NATIONS.

God confronts ALL nations and gives us a very simple choice: show favour to the nation of Israel and receive God's favour and blessing OR ignore Israel and perish. A plain and simple choice, but so hard for so many to embrace.

Those who show favour to the nation of Israel will receive HIS favour and blessing, but those that will not show favour, those who poke their finger into the apple of GOD's eye, those nations who put pressure on Israel to divide the land, those who boycott Israeli goods and services and/or are instrumental in getting others to do so; those who are involved in trying to set up a Palestinian state within the Land of Israel, shall perish; they shall be utterly destroyed.

And again: ANY nation -- and that includes Britain -- who will not serve Israel and treat her with favour will perish and shall be utterley destroyed. That is not me speaking; I'm merely repeating what GOD says in His Word. And we either believe His Word in its entirety or we don't believe it at all. We cannot cherry pick the bits that suit us and reject the pieces that don't; it doesn't work like that. We're either in or we're out; there's no sitting on the fence. It's yes or no to the Word of God, not 'maybe'.

So, are you in or out. . . do you accept the the Word of ADONAI in its entirety or reject it (no cherry-picking allowed). . . are you with GOD or against GOD? It has to be one or the other. This is make up your mind time. It is not the time to vascillate.

And remember this: for as long as we continue denying the truths of the Word of GOD, we are in sin. For as long as we persist in believing (individually or corporately as the Church) that we have taken the place of the people of Israel. . . for as long as we continue trying to deny the Jewish people what is rightfully their GOD-given inheritance. . . for as long as we continue withholding favour from Israel, we are in deep, deep trouble with GOD.

We are in error of supporting and condoning present day attempts to impose man-made solutions such as the Oslo Peace accords, the so-called Road Map to Peace plan, and the Sharm el-Sheikh accords (all of which involve further dividision of the Land) UNLESS WE SPEAK OUT against this evil.

These man-made plans -- the Oslo accords, the Road Map and the Sharm el-Sheikh accords and others -- are anti-Israel, anti-Jewish, anti-Semitic, anti-Zionist or whatever you care to call them, and take no account of the will of GOD. They run contrary to, and in fact, are the very antithesis of the plans and purposes of GOD. (The world has effectively renamed anti-Semitism as anti-Zionism as if to make it more palatable, more acceptable, but despite the altered terminology, it is the same evil being perpetuated.

I hope you can now see that, according to the Word of God, we in Britain are under GOD's judgement, even to the extent of coming to total ruin according to Isaiah 60, verse 12. We need to repent. The Church and the government need to call this nation to a day of prayer and repentance over our wrongdoing to Israel and the Jewish people.

Over the last eighty five years or so, we have made light of both the people and the Land of Israel, the 'apple of His eye'. This has to be put right, NOW, before we sink beyond trace into the quagmire we are in. Make no mistake about it, if we don't repent and change our ways, God will fulfill His Word and this nation, which does not serve Israel but makes light of Israel, shall perish; Britain shall be utterly ruined.

Think about it. Pray about it.

The responsibility of the Church is to declare the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth contained in the Word of GOD to a sick and dying world destined to spend eternity in hell if it doesn't repent and change.

It is not the mandate of the Church to compromise the Word of GOD, to tickle our ears with those parts of the Word that make us feel good and keep us in our comfort zone. We need the whole Word of GOD, and not just the 'New Testament'.

We do NOT need extra-biblical paraphernalia, extrasensory images, sounds, smells, silence, darkness, icons, statues, rosary beads, Yoga, or contemplative prayer. We do NOT need a full sensory immersion in the divine. We do NOT need seeker-friendly preaching and praying. Such frivolous behaviour is unnecessary and (in the longer term), harmful. Preaching a solid gospel with no bells and whistles is essential, especially today.

Who on earth has decreed we have to encounter GOD with our "senses"? He lives within us -- that's sufficient. He's a prayer away, hardly dependent on candles and incense and icons and rosary beads. We do not need to draw on such practices to 'get closer to God'? What we do need is to get back to basics!

My prayer is that you pray for Israel -- day in, day out -- the people and the Land. You can also group together with other believers on a regular weekly basis to intercede for Israel. And as you do so please do not pray nice “wishy washy” Christian prayers that are “politically correct” but real impacting, powerful prayers that are Biblicaly correct. . . 'Covenant Correct'. It is time to wake up the men, women and children who will stand and intercede for Israel like never before.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you. "May peace be within your walls, And prosperity within your palaces." - Psalm 122:6-9

The Time to Pray for the Shalom of Jerusalem is NOW!

We can waste time complaining about our personal situation, other folks' behaviour, the news, the weather, etc., or we can use our time constructively to pray about GOD's will for the Jewish people and the Land of Israel. Can you imagine what it must have been like wandering in the desert for 40 years, exposed to the "heat" of the day. . . with none of the things we take for granted to help us stay cool such as cool showers, air conditioning, fans or cold drinks? Now that must have been uncomfortable.

Our Jewish brothers and sisters are (at this moment) exposed to the "heat": the heat of attack in both the physical and spiritual realms, as well as the heat of the weather. Hezbollah is firing rockets at Northern Israel and the Adversary is trying everything he can to keep the Jewish people from accepting Yeshua as their Messiah.

We need to pray for Israel, Jerusalem and the Jewish people. There is no better time to see them come to know Yeshua and proclaim "Baruch Haba B'shem ADONAI -- Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the LORD!"

ADONAI tells us that Israel will be saved. Can you think of a better time than right now for Him to reveal Himself to His people so that they, the apple of His eye, can "call upon the Name of the LORD?"

Please join us in praying for Israel, Jerusalem and the Jewish people. We have intercessory prayer for Israel every Sunday afternoon at 5:00pm. Would you consider joining with us as we "Pray for the shalom (peace) of Jerusalem?" I know you will be blessed as you pray for the "Apple of GOD's eye." Seek the LORD and pray that His will be done for His chosen people. Please take the time to pray for all Jewish people, especially for those living in the Land. They need your prayer support.

Father God, we come in the precious name of Yeshua HaMashiach -- Jesus the Messiah -- to pray for the peace of Jerusalem; for the tranquility, safety, well-being, welfare, health, contentment, success, comfort, wholeness and integrity of Jerusalem, in line with Your Word (Psalm 122).

We pray for the sovereignty of Israel, that it rests solely with Your people, never shared, divided, compromised or surrendered. We pray that Your will be done, here on earth as it is in heaven, for Israel, the people and the Land.

We pray that Your people who are called by Your name would humble themselves and pray,
and seek you face, and turn from their wicked ways, so that You would hear from heaven,
forgive their sin, and heal their Land. And give them victory over their enemies who are trying to annihilate them.

We pray for the innocent civilians of Lebanon, especially the Christian believers, who are tirelessly working, around the clock, in very difficult conditions, to help those who have fled their homes. We pray for their protection, strength and well-being.

We pray that the love of Yeshua HaMashiach, shining through the Lebanese Believers as they embrace, feed and shelter the displaced Arab people, will bring the Arab Muslims to know the Lord Yeshua. We pray that the Arab people would realize that Islam is a demonic spirit that breeds hatred and violence and that by renouncing it, repenting and accepting Yeshua as Lord and Saviour, they will be set free from the chains that bind them and enter into a new life.

We pray for the Israeli government, especially Ehud Olmert, the war cabinet, and the military leaders, that God will strengthen them with the necessary resolve to prosecute this conflict to the end, until at the the very least, Hezbollah and their puppet leader Nassan Hasrallah have been obliterated.

There seems to be a weakening in the resolve of the Israeli leaders; a fear of international pressure seems to be growing in the Israeli administration, so we pray against this spirit of fear and weakness in any of the Israeli leaders. Father, please strengthen these leaders, shape them like David and Joshua; and let the fighting forces of Israel become the fearsome Lions of Judah.
My LORD, what will it take to drive them back into the arms of the God of Israel. Your people need to wake up NOW and arise to their calling, to cry out to ADONAI, the LORD their GOD, the GOD of Avraham, Yitzchak and Ya'akov, to lead and direct them in this battle.

Perhaps this is a timely reminder for Israel and for each one of us that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"(Eph.6:12).

It is for such a time as this that we have come into Your Kingdom, Lord. Place Your mighty hand upon us to help us be Mordecai's who help the Esther's. . . to be voices calling out into the wilderness of today's Church and the world. Father GOD, let a people arise who cry out for their destiny . . .for the destiny of Israel . . .the people and the Land, and intercede effectively for Your plans and purposes in Israel and the Middle East region.

". . .As for me and my house, I will serve the LORD. I want to be embraced, consumed by You, LORD, for Your plans and purposes in these End Times. For this I dedicate myself to serve You and be used by You, for the benefit of Israel, the people and the Land".

NOW is the Time to Pray and Intercede for Israel!

I have gleaned much interesting information from various email newsletters I have received over the last few days (from Israel) and the various Israeli news and commentary sites I've looked at, to publish this article. Unfortunately, because of the sensitive nature of some of the material, I am not allowed to publish the original letters on any website or blog. This prevents me from giving credit where it's due for the information sources used. So I'll give you the gist of it built around my own personal viewpoint formed by prayer, research and study.

The current Israel/Hezbollah conflict began in 2000 (although some say Iran started it as far back as 1979). Israel pulled its troops out of southern Lebanon without getting a meaningful internationally recognized agreement that Israel would never be attacked again over its border with Lebanon. In the process, Israel abandoned its South Lebanese Army friends to the depraved authority of Hezbullah. That was not a good move! We heard stories of the most evil retribution taking place.

Hezbullah boasted it had driven Israel out of Lebanon which in turn gave impetus to another Palestinian uprising, the second intifada. Prime Minister Sharon and his administration took it on themselves to start redrawing Israel's borders and purged the Jewish people from the Gaza strip, again with no firm internationally recognized agreements in place. Hamas, revitalized from this new impetus, proclaimed they would fight on "until the liberation of Palestine was complete and the occupying Jews pushed into the sea" and until their message "There is no god but Allah and Muhammad is his messenger" reaches the entire world.

Israel's withdrawal from Lebanon gave Hezbullah six years to build fortifications, underground tunnels and bunkers. Some of these bunkers are 100 to 130 feet underground which makes them almost impossible to seek and destroy by air power alone. Hezbullah mined the entire Israel/Lebanon border, prepared sniper positions and trip wires, brought in upto 15,000 rockets and missiles, to prepare for the day when Israel would have to go back into Lebanon with her army.

The U.N. had more than 2000 so-called personnel along this border -- so-called "peace keepers" and "observers". They did not report any of this activity to Israel, the US or anybody else for that matter. Apparently reporting this sort of activity was not in their brief. It wasn't important to them. But nothing was done to halt this supply of weaponry. Why?

Hezbollah knew what was coming; they (Hezbollah, Syria and Iran) planned and prepared for it very carefully. While all this military preparation was going on, Israel, who obviously knew about the build-up of rockets and munitions from their military people up in the north of the Land, did nothing to stop it. They simply talked about it. Why? If this situation had been on any other border there would have been an international outcry and something would have been done to stop the build-up of weaponry!

Up until this time, mid-July 2006, even though rockets that had been reaching Sderot, Ashkelon and other communities, Israel's response was weak and half-hearted. The Gaza land battle started when Hamas-Fatah extremists tunneled into Israel , killed two Israeli soldiers and kidnapped another. The land battle in Lebanon started when Hezbullah crossed the Israeli border to kill and kidnap Israeli soldiers. This was a step too far for Israel. The gloves came off and Israel released an awesome torrent of firepower upon Hezbollah, and to a lesser degree, Hamas. These groups invaded sovereign Israeli territory to kill and kidnap. Under international law, this was war.

Most countries, especially France and Russia, are blaming Israel for the mess on the ground in Lebanon because of the "disproportionate use of force" by the Israeli military. Would they have stood idly by and watched as trained and well-equipped military groups killed and kidnapped their own military personel? I don't think so. But hypocrites like Putin and Chirac are the first to point the finger. Israel is entitled to use whatever means at her disposal to prosecute this war to a successful conclusion.

Unfortunately, innocent civilians have been killed on both sides but this is the nature of war. While Israel has attacked much of Lebanon's infrastructure to hinder the ability of Syria and Iran to resupply Hezbollah, not to punish the Lebanese people, Hezbollah has attacked Israel indiscriminately. Isn't it strange how no-one is concerned about the wanton destruction in Israel caused by all those rockets being fired over the Land to deliberately harm and kill civilians and destroy property?

Hezbullah has deliberately placed itself in the midst of civilian populations in the towns and villages of south Lebanon. Israel has warned these people to flee, and at times Hezbullah has actually tried to stop this movement north by threatening to shoot those who leave.

We urgently need to redouble our prayer effort for the innocent civilians of Lebanon -- especially the Christian believers, who are working tirelessly, around the clock in very difficult conditions, to help those who have fled their homes. Pray for their protection, strength and well-being; and that through their display of the love of Yeshua HaMashiach, Jesus the Messiah, these displaced Arab people will come to know the Lord.

Take a look at some of the amazing work going off right now in Lebanon with Pastor Walid El-Khoury and his dad, George (a former chairman of two banks in London). They launched a program to take the Gospel to Arab people, 24-hours a day on the satellite Hotbird, eighteen month ago. It is called The Spirit Channel and broadcasts to 350 million Arabs. They have a website at www. spiritchannel.tv. Their videos are excellent: faithful to the Word, and excellent production.

Hezbullah has hidden rockets and launchers in people's houses. According to the rules of war, this renders such civilian places as military targets. Yet Israel continues to show restraint when it comes to routing the terrorists and cutting the supply lines from Syria and Iran to Hezbullah. Active resupply IS going on from Iran to Syria to Lebanon, and Israel is doing little about it because she does not want to draw Syria and Iran into the war. She's afraid to take that necessary step.

Perhaps if she would repent and call upon the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (as did her leaders throughout scripture) and rely on His strength to give her victory, Syria and Iran would not be such a daunting task. Instead she prefers to do it in her own strength. Consequently, Israel is showing a lack of determination to do what needs to be done to protect Israel: take out Syria and Iran. The U.S. administration would dearly like to see this happen, sooner rather than later. (Not to mention the fact that U.S. elections are coming up this fall: homeland security and the fight against terrorism is the single big issue where President Bush is ahead on points. A protracted war against the extremist Islamic jihadist fascist war groups in the middle east would certainly help President Bush's party to hold power.)

The nations are complaining about the might of Israel's sophisticated weaponry against the "home-made pipes and bombs of Hezbollah" (as Jon Snow, the Channel 4 news moron, recently described it when confronting the Israeli Ambassador). Snow is not alone in promulgating this anti-Jewish/anti-Israeli vitriol and innuendo; Jeremy Bowen and his colleagues do the same sort of thing for the BBC. ITV is just as bad but I can't recall the names right now. CNN is probably the worst of all; these guys really go the extra mile to make Hezbollah look like angels and Israel like satan. The only station I've found to broadcast any semblance of fair and balanced tv news coverage is Fox News; their reporters appear not to harbor the sort of anti-Israeli venom displayed by the others. There may be other unbiased tv news stations but I haven't found them yet.

The nations accuse Israel of fighting the kind of war that is fought only between nations and that Hezbullah is not a nation. Poppycock, Hizbullah is a nation within the nation of Lebanon. It has the weapons that many modern nations have: short and long range rockets; anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons, plus, a committed and prepared fighting force, better prepared, and more dangerous than any of the armies Israel has faced in previous wars.

Airpower alone will not do the job that needs to be done. Israel needs to flatten those villages where Hezbullah is entrenched. But she isn't willing to fight this type of war; Hezbollah is. This erroneous thinking will exact a terrible price in Israeli lives and, in the end, in Lebanese lives too.

The nations are calling for an immediate cease-fire that would leave Hezbullah and Hamas as the victors in this war. The only nations that are really standing firm with Israel and maintaining that she be allowed the time to finish this war are the U.S. and Britain. However, after Margaret Beckett's outburst yesterday, I have some concerns about Britain's staying power. Beckett complained about US aircraft carrying military supplies to Israel stopping off to refuel on British soil. Several others (MPs and a junior minister) have since joined the bandwagon. This smacks of anti-Israel/anti-Jewish/anti-Bush sentiment. I think P.M. Blair will stay the course if the media and his Labour colleagues don't manage to hound him out of office before his tenure is up.

The American president has spoken clearly of Israel's right to defend herself and to destroy the Hezbullah threat on her northern border. So has the UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair. Both Bush and Blair have spoken clearly and directly about the fact that the powers behind Hezbullah are Syria and Iran; Iran being the guiding force behind the timing of the Hezbullah attack against Israel. The recent G8 meeting in St. Petersburg, Russia, was supposed to come up with a way to force Iran to stop its nuclear weapons program. A few days before the meeting began, Hezbullah attacked Israel and Iran was off the hook. A master stroke by Iran; specifically designed to do what it has achieved.

Concerns are rising that many in the Israeli Government are already looking for a diplomatic way out of this war. They are already talking about a NATO force on the Lebanese border. P.M. Olmert has spoken of an "eternal covenant of peace with his neighbors". That will not happen. The only One he can have an eternal covenant with is the God of Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov. There cannot be any sort of peace until Hezbullah is completely smashed and unable to regroup. A premature cease-fire that leaves Hezbullah and its leadership intact will merely perpetuate the problem and lead to a bloodier and more difficult conflict at a later date.

Please pray for the Israeli government, especially Ehud Olmert and the war cabinet, that God will strengthen them with the necessary resolve to prosecute this conflict to the end, until at the the very least, Hezbollah has been completely wiped out and Nassan Hasrallah killed or captured. Israel's General's have advised P.M. Olmert to pursue a big land invasion, but I doubt he'll do it. The same General's advised Ariel Sharon against pulling out of Gaza and the likely consequences but he ignored them. There seems to be a weakness and fear endemic in the Israeli administration that is in serious need of prayer.

What will it take to drive them back into the arms of their God. Israel REALLY needs to wake up, arise to their calling, and cry out to the Lord their God, the God of Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov, to lead and direct them in this battle. Perhaps this is a timely reminder for Israel and each of us that "our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places"(Eph.6:12).

Prayer Points

Pray for the safety of all Israeli military personnel, especially for the safety and protection of all those involved in the battles.

Psalm 61 HEAR MY cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed and fainting; lead me to the rock that is higher than I [yes, a rock that is too high for me]. For You have been a shelter and a refuge for me, a strong tower against the adversary. I will dwell in Your tabernacle forever; let me find refuge and trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]! For You, O God, have heard my vows; You have given me the heritage of those who fear, revere, and honor Your name. May You prolong the [true] [a]King's life [adding days upon days], and may His years be to the last generation [of this world and the generations of the world to come]. May He sit enthroned forever before [the face of] God; O ordain that loving-kindness and faithfulness may watch over Him! So will I sing praise to Your name forever, paying my vows day by day. (Amplified Bible) .

Pray that the believing soldiers will know the peace of the Lord, and that as the Lord protects them, protection will spread to their units.

Pray that the believing soldiers will hear from the Lord regarding what to do and which way to go.

Pray that the believing soldiers will be able to share their faith with everyone around them and that the Holy Spirit of God, Ruach HaKodesh, will move upon them, convict them, bring them to repentance, save them and give them His peace.

Pray regarding the ground offensive.

1 Samuel 17:45-47 Then said David to the Philistine, You come to me with a sword, a spear, and a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the ranks of Israel, Whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hand, and I will smite you and cut off your head. And I will give the corpses of the army of the Philistines this day to the birds of the air and the wild beasts of the earth, that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear; for the battle is the Lord's, and He will give you into our hands (Amplified Bible).

Ezekiel 39:3-7 And I will smite your bow from your left hand and will cause your arrows to fall out of your right hand. You shall fall [dead] upon the mountains of Israel, you and all your hosts and the peoples who are with you. I will give you to the ravenous birds of every sort and to the beasts of the field to be devoured. You shall fall in the open field, for I have spoken [it], says the Lord God. I will send fire on Magog and upon those who dwell securely in the coastlands, and they shall know, understand, and realize that I am the Lord [the Sovereign Ruler, Who calls forth loyalty and obedient service]. And I will make My holy name known in the midst of My people Israel, and I will not let them profane My holy name any more; and the nations shall know, understand, and realize that I am the Lord, the Holy One of Israel. (Amplified Bible)

Pray that Israel will have the will, stamina, courage, and wisdom to see this war through to the end-the end of Hizbullah as a military threat to Israel. Israel needs to strike the arrows as many times as are needed.

2 Kings 13:15-19 Elisha said to him, "Take a bow and arrows." So he took a bow and arrows. Then he said to the king of Israel, "Put your hand on the bow." And he put his hand on it, then Elisha laid his hands on the king's hands. He said, "Open the window toward the east," and he opened it. Then Elisha said, "Shoot!" And he shot. And he said, "The LORD'S arrow of victory, even the arrow of victory over Aram; for you will defeat the Arameans at (A)Aphek until you have destroyed them." Then he said, "Take the arrows," and he took them. And he said to the king of Israel, "Strike the ground," and he struck it three times and stopped. So (B)the man of God was angry with him and said, "You should have struck five or six times, then you would have struck Aram until you would have destroyed it But now you shall strike Aram (C)only three times." (NASB)

Pray: for the Lord to go ahead of Israel's army and sow fear in the hearts of the terrorists; for the army to find the launcher sites and destroy them, and for the Lord to give Israel success on the battlefield; for good military intelligence; for the protection of the North of Israel from Katyusha rockets; for wisdom, strength, and resolve for our leaders, both military and political; for comfort, help, and strength for the one million people sitting in shelters. Many have tremendous needs: the elderly, the infirm, children, etc;

Pray concerning the steadfastness of President Bush and the U.S., and Prime Minister Blair and the UK.

Pray for Israeli soldiers to be supernaturally made aware of: (i) Enemy ambushes, (ii) Friendly fire, (iii) Mines, sniper positions, and trip wires set up by Hezbullah.

Pray for the Israeli government that: (1) The spirit of compromise in Israel and the Israeli government would go and (2) Worldwide pressure for a premature cease-fire would cease forthwith.

Remember: there is a much bigger spiritual battle taking place in the heavenlies that is manifesting itself right here on earth. Our war is against demonic spirits. The battle victory belongs to the Lord. Not by might nor by power but by My Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.

So my question is: why is 'the Church' not doing so?

With very few exceptions, the Church completely ignores Isreal, both the people and the Land, in these days.

As Christian believers, followers of Jesus the Messiah -- Yahshua HaMashiach -- grafted into the Commonwealth of Israel, we are charged by Adonai to PRAY for the peace of Jerusalem, to intercede for His chosen people, to stand as watchmen on the walls, watching over and praying for His people and the Land.

Does that happen in your church. . . or in your own personal walk with the LORD?

Psalm 122 is clear in its directive to each of us: "P R A Y for the peace of Jerusalem".

GOD is not asking us, He is telling us to pray; He's commanding us.

There's none of the "Do you think you could possibly find time to pray for the peace of Jerusalem" nonsense; this is a direct, unequivocal order: P R A Y for the peace of Jerusalem!!!

Scripture tells us that GOD's people -- the Jewish people -- are the apple of His eye and He most certainly has not finished with them. The Land of Israel, clearly delineated in theWord of GOD, is sacrosanct; non-negotiable. What's more, Israel -- the people and the Land -- are very much a part of GOD's End Times plans and purposes. Read the scripures, the Word of God is perfectly clear on this issue.

So why do most of today's Church have the crazy misguided notion that it has replaced Israel in GOD's scheme of things? It is beyond the comprehension of true believers; perhaps they read a different Bible to the rest of us. ;-)

Perhaps if they spent some time with the Holy Spirit -- the Ruach HaKodesh -- and sought the heart of GOD, asking for revelation, for their eyes to be opened to the plans and purposes of GOD, they may change their minds.

I'm a gentile believer who, several years ago, cried out to the LORD, asking Him to give me His heart. He answered my prayer and gave me a heart for His people and His Land.

This has been an invaluable aid in my walk with GOD and getting a better understanding of His Word. Father God, in the precious name of Yahshua HaMashiach,
we pray for the peace, tranquility, safety, well-being,
welfare, health, contentment, success, comfort, wholeness
and integrity of Jerusalem, in line with Your Word (Psalm 122).

We pray for the sovereignty of Israel, that it rests solely
with your people, not shared or divided or compromised.

We pray that Your people
who are called by Your name,
would humble themselves and pray,
and seek you face,
and turn from their wicked ways,
so that You would hear from heaven,
forgive their sin, and heal their Land,
and give them victory over their enemies,
over all who seek to obliterate them.

Father, we pray that Your will be done
here on earth as it is in heaven
for Israel, the people and the Land.

Lord, it is for such a time as this
that we have come into Your Kingdom.
Place Your mighty hand upon us to be like
Mordecai's helping the Esther's,
to be voices crying in the wilderness.
Father, let a people now arise
who cry out for their destiny. . .
for the destiny of Israel. . .
the people and the Land,
and intercede for Your plans and purposes

Please pray protection over the Israeli military as they pursue this battle on behalf of all of us living in the 'free' world. If Israel does not win this war today, it will be our war tomorrow. Can I suggest that you pray for your own country for the way they have treated Israel over the last sixty years. Please pray especially for England for their involvement in dividing the Land; (remember Joel 3:2 and the fate that befalls those who divide the Land?).

And. . . Zechariah 1:14-16 Then the angel who talked with me said to me: "Proclaim! Thus said the Lord of Hosts: I am very jealous for Jerusalem -- for Zion -- and I am very angry with those nations that are at ease; for I was only angry a little, but they overdid the punishment.
